A Construction Company is urgently seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Transport & Plant Manager
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will be reporting to the Director of Logistic, and functional to HSE Manager you will be responsible for sales and marketing of company equipment including; trucks, earth work equipment and tools
- Prepare of equipment maintenance schedules and supervise of all equipment working in different projects
- Forecasting of service requirement materials and tools for maintenance
At times, you will provide technical support and troubleshooting after the working hours of the day, during weekends and public holidays if they are emergency calls.
- Follow up on all issues relating to equipment rented for projects and ensure all the requirement are updated i.e., Insurance, drivers have licenses, defensive driving,
- Follow on all project Safety Requirement regarding equipment including daily inspection,
- Use and update all works using company reporting tools like SMS, WhatsApp, emails,
- Overall, in charge of all drivers and operators
- Ensuring all equipment’s and vehicles are inspected and approved by Clients before mobilized to site
- Dealing direct with account team on issues relating to finance of maintenance, payment of drivers allowance, insurance,
- May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Diploma /Degree in logistic/mechanical engineering
- Working in construction companies is added advantage
- Marketing Skills
- Proficiency in Ms Excel/Word
- Excellent English and Swahili communication skills.
- Ability to learn new concepts, flexibility in work environment, ability to work well in teams and independently.
- Ability to effectively manage and report on tasks short and long term
- Flexible to travel for field work in remote areas and work extra hours
Required Skills:
- Have comprehensive understanding of the technical skills related to equipments, including handling of spare parts: ordering, usage, returns, physical count, stock management, etc.
- Displays professionalism, understanding, and technical knowledge in all business interactions.
- Able to travel to project site when required
- Achieves specified all targets (timely)while with instrument repair/maintenance
