About Vacancy
We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR manager to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the Tanzanian labor landscape, be self-driven, and have a proven ability to support a fast-paced and operationally intensive industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies for the group aligned with business objectives. Design and execute comprehensive HR policies and frameworks that support the group. Ensure strategies promote organizational growth, workforce efficiency, and a positive company culture.
- Manage the recruitment and onboarding process through overseeing end-to-end talent acquisition, job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and selection.
- Oversee employee relations, implementing programs that boost morale and retention strategies to minimize turnover and maintain a motivated workforce.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. Monitor and enforce adherence to Tanzanian labor regulations and internal policies.
- Administer compensation, benefits, and payroll coordination. Manage salary structures, benefits programs, and payroll processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and fairness. Conduct periodic reviews to maintain competitiveness and compliance.
- Lead performance management and training programs. Implement performance appraisal systems, set KPIs, and provide feedback mechanisms.
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports for management. Ensure proper documentation of employee data, contracts, and HR activities.
- Lead change management processes during mergers, expansions, or restructuring to ensure smooth transitions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (a degree in Law is
an added advantage). - 5 to 10 years of proven experience as an HR manager or in a similar senior HR role.
- Strong knowledge of Tanzania labor laws
- Excellent communication, leadership, and people skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality, with the ability to manage sensitive information.
- Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite.
- Fluency in English and Swahili.
